From a wonderful New York City estate estate, we have a pleasure to offer you this gorgeous Framed & Matted Vintage Oil Painting on Canvas. Featured are houses by the lake, man in a canoe, gorgeous spring / summer day below the slopes of Austrian / Swiss Alps. Colors are vivid, superb quality. Serene scene, gorgeous calming. Painting is executed on canvas and stretched, contained in a gilt (gold) frame and matted. Painting is signed in lower right corner “PETERS” (see photos). The wood frame is a perfect match, super gentle forest green color between gilt highlighted border carvings. Good condition (please see photos). Size is large 35.75″ x 27.75″ overall in the frame, while the art portion is 27.75″ x 19.5″. This is a gorgeous work of art, that will enhance any great setting! Vintage 20th Large Chinese Buddhist Lion Figurine & Cub Soapstone Marked

A large, well carved, and colorful chop that is a sculptural work. The heavy piece of soapstone has been intricately carved into a female Buddhist lion with her cub. The stone is colorful with reddish highlights. It is very smooth and does not feel like soap any longer. The base was carved later and is not polished. I think it is the name GORDON. There are two Chinese characters as well. 2 7/8″ (7.3 cm) long x 2 7/8″ (7.3 cm) wide x 6 5/8 (17.0 cm) tall. Weighs 4 lbs 5.2 oz (1960 g). There are no cracks, chips, breaks or major scratches. A run of 16 extra large tulip opaline glass pendants with their original brass monk cap galleries, brass stems and spun brass ceilings roses. All metal sections have age related oxidisation, all glass is in great condition. Removed from Abbots Bromley School in Staffordshire. English in origin, mid 20th century in age. 97cm from top of ceiling rose to bottom of glass shade. (stems can be shortened on request). 29cm in diameter at widest point. Each light comes ready for installation with new bayonet bulb holders and flex. Price is per light. Please get in contact as that can be arranged.
