For your consideration we have an 8 mm large Derbyshire jewelers lathe. It comes with its own collets which is a good thing because this Lathe needs these special collets in order to operate. The “large”, in the description means that the collets are actually 8 mm in the shaft and the threads. Most 8 mm collects then reduced down to 6.5 mm in the threaded area, these are 8 mm in both. All collets are marked Derbyshire Large. The wires on the motor are cut so I cannot test. It is a reversible motor but will need work. The rheostat is also untested. There is a very nice Derbyshire multi jar bezel Chuck. This is an extremely rare and hard to find. It is included with this listing. There is also a very nice multi – transmission included with this listing. Everything in the first picture is included with the listing. All the colleges are marked Derbyshire large. For your consideration we have an outstanding Derbyshire 8 mm lathe. This lathe looks to be in very good working condition. The lathe looks to be complete except for a rheostat, and collets. It is my opinion that this lathe is by far one of the best American watchmakers lathe ever made. The motor is reversible and working well. Although it has been in storage for many years it’s very clean and I didn’t even wipe it down. This lathe has been very well taken care of. This is a high quality made machine! So please look over pictures carefully, and ask any questions before purchasing. If you need more pictures just let me know. If you are just trying to fix a watch or clock without knowledge of how to do so, we suggest that you seek out professional help. To do it on your own risks permanent damage to your clock or watch. Has not been tested for time or duration. Running but has not been tested for time or duration. It will run for short periods of time. The second hand does advance. Movement will need to be serviced. Balance staff looks good / Good staff. Balance wheel spins free and clear when shaken. Balance staff will need to be replaced, or other repair is required to repair. In most cases, we put our items next to the ruler to give you a sense of size not to give you a measurement. Camera angles, lighting, and many other variables can distort the actual measurements.
