For you to consider is a vintage Italian tole 6 arm pillar candelabra wall sconce. Monumental in size, this wall sconce measures approximately 52″ in height, is 32″ in length, and extends from the wall 21. It was acquired by a couple some time later that installed it in the stairwell of their home where it remained until we acquired it upon their relocation. The body of the sconce is an unidentified metal that appears to be oil rubbed bronze. It is decorated with elegant Italian scrollwork on the arms with branches placed organically over the sconces length with foliate detail. The leaves and scrollwork are further enhanced with hand applied gold leaf foil. A few pieces of the gilded tole decoration has fallen away over time without repair. These areas are visible but are not glaringly obvious or distracting to the beauty of the piece. The sconce accommodates 6 large pillar candles. In otherwise beautiful condition, the sconce presents itself well and is structurally sound. Wear is commensurate for age and history of use so please regard all of the photos as they form a descriptive part of the listing.
