Velvet Silk Opera Vintage Style Coat Cowl Button Collar. Sent with Australia Post Standard Large Box/Satchel. Photos don’t really capture the luxury of the fabric. Very soft velvet in very good to excellent condition. You will need a lint brush or tape to keep it looking nice. It’s lined with an iridescent pinkish orange silk. It is fastened with two buttons one velvet covered external and one hidden internal. The collar is like a cowl design, but has a little more fabric in back to double as hoodie. There’s a spare button. Best estimate is UK 16 / US 12 based but see measurements below. Measurements Chest About 44 inches (111 cm) from pit to pit doubled. Comfortable for up to 40 to 41 inches or 104 cm chest. Shoulder About 18.5 inches (47 cm) from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. Arms About 15.5 inch from pit to end of sleeve. About 30 inches (76.2 cm) from mid neck to bottom of sleeve over the shoulder. Length About 40 inches long or about 101 cm from back of neck to bottom of coat. Flaws There’s no brand or size identification. The sleeves appear altered with right sleeve a little shorter on one side. Could be mended or lengthened with a good seamstress. Minor spots on fabric, not immediately noticed. Could be due to iridescent nature of fabric. A VINTAGE 1930’s BEAUTIFUL PALE BLUE, SILK CHIFFON, BIAS CUT, CREPE, GOWN, WITH AN ATTACHED MATCHING SILK SLIP. SHALLOW SCOOP NECKLINE, DROPPED WAIST, AN ATTACHED MATHING BELT, WITH A RHINESTONE BELT BUCKLE. A DECO POINT STITCHED SKIRT. THE HEM IS LONGER ON THE FRONT CENTER. THE BACK OF THE BODICE IS TRIMMED WITH, A POINTED, DRAPED, ATTACHED SCARF. APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS: LENGTH AT THE LONGEST POINT – 57″, BUST – 38″, WAIST – 34″, HIPS – 44″. CONDITION: IN OVERALL VERY GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION. THERE IS COLOR VARIATION, WITH FADED STREAKS ON THE SKIRT. THE BUCKLE IS MISSING A RHINESTONE.
