When I was a child more than 40+ years ago my father was in the antique jewelry business. From time to time he would come home with different treasures and occasionally he would let me “acquire” them! Please check often as you never know what surprise I might put up! This is a beautiful very unusual antique/vintage Large Carnelian or some other stone? Oval Stone that has pieces of Opal on top that is set in a flower shape. The opals are much livelier than in the photos. The stone measures approx. 1 3/8″ (36.5 mm) x just over 1″ (26 mm). It is much prettier in person. The pieces are unique and make it especially beautiful. Also one piece of opal has a chip but it isn’t offensive to the eye since the other opals are all intentionally jagged in shape. Antique vintage Victorian solid silver large engraved oval locket & chain 20g

This is a beautiful antique Victorian large solid silver engraved locket hanging on an antique Victorian chain. The chain measures approx. 17.5 inches long and it is stamped’sterling’ on the secure clasp. The large oval locket measures 3.5cm long and 2.8cm wide and it hangs on a wide round bail. Please note, due to it’s age, the locket is an unmarked piece but tests as silver. The locket and chain weigh 20.09g. The locket opens via a catch at the side and has room for two large oval pics inside. I have left the photograph of a young boy and a lock on hair inside the piece but please note they are not from the Victorian era. One side of the locket is adorned with a spray of ivy leaves in the centre with a geometric pattern running through the centre. In the Victorian era the ivy symbolised fidelity, friendship and eternity. The other side of the locket is also completely adorned with an intricate engraved pattern of scrolls with a monogram centre. This rare vintage find is in excellent condition. Lockets became very popular in the Victorian era and were often worn as mourning jewellery. This is a rare vintage treasure, p lease check out my other items, thanks for looking.
